Growing Joys - Not Pains!
This week Bertha Munthali shared with me that eleven new students have enrolled at Good Soil Academy. We now have 68 students. This amount of Term Two transfer enrollment is uncommon in Malawi, and it suggests that Good Soil Academy is becoming known for its unique mission, vision and focus.
It has been a blessing being able to start a school at a size where we can create a culture and climate of academic, entrepreneurial and leadership excellence that points our students and staff toward the vision and values of Good Soil Academy. It is always easier to shepherd a small group toward loving God, living generous lives, adding value to others and always doing the right thing.
The reality is that next year we’re going to face the challenges that come with the blessing of growth. This means creating defined operational responsibilities, allocating those responsibilities, and creating a culture of increased personal responsibility and accountability. This means that developing systems and structure becomes even more important. We know the time to plan for that growth is now. Please join us in praying that God helps us to joyfully respond to the challenges that come with the blessing of growth.
For us, the good news is that none of what has been accomplished at GSA can be attributed to our own personal doing. Instead, God has inspired a team to answer His calling, and He deserves all the credit. As we pray then, we orient ourselves by focusing on the opening line of the Lord’s prayer; “hallowed be your name.” Which simply means, may God’s name be known and glorified through GSA.
So, thank you for your prayers and your support! Growing is a wonderful problem to face! And we want to face it together, you, us, and God, working in His will, to make Him famous.
